So now that I made you click, I'd like some free advice. Yes, I STFU, so don't offer that advice please. The shift **** in my 04 USP is delaminating and feels crappy. I searched the archives and the usual alex/euro price guy no longer has any of the B7 RS4 ones. I'd like a perforated leather one to match the steering wheel.
Has anyone priced the RS4 stuff at a dealer and if so, what was the going rate? I could start calling around, but I find that the Chicagoland dealers tend to have a wide variety of parts pricing structures.
I checked out the momo and sparco sites and nothing really jumped out at me. If you have one that you are really happy with please post it. If you are an Asian kid who took his sig pic in the ****ter and you love carbon fiber, please skip this step. Are there other major brands I am overlooking?
I have a nice sparco **** from my old car and a momo collar for it that I could use, but then I would have to figure out how to remove the OEM boot from the collar and shifter assembly without breaking anything and then adapting it over. It is the one that has the word sparco embossed on it vertically. While I think it's pretty cool, it's not perforated.
Perhaps one of you is thinking of selling the wood trim out of his car. Maybe a wood **** to match would be tasteful. I like that Valvona or valcona light colored wood a lot.
Thanks in advance.
