those with test pipes...how do you pass smog?

Not a single code....
I've had a test pipe, and this HFC flows exhaust gasses like a test pipe, along with lower EGT's. Much less restrictive compaired to the OEM cat, without any codes.
I spent several months trying to get HJS to sell me one, and then ship me one out of Germany.
Only to find out later, the HFC's have the A4 end caps welded on by Milltek, in the UK. HJS only makes the center, cat section.

Most states, the test is simply a revenue generator for the state....
In my state, only 1996 and newer(OBDII) cars are tested. You see all sorts of older cars smoking down the freeway around here....
