There was a definate dark period...ask this question in 5 years, you might get *less* people who could answer "yes". 1991-92 saw REALLY low sales, like 20,000 cars out of millons sold here. Who knows, maybe Audi's current success is partly an echo of their success with their brand 20 years ago. lol-"the rings were burned into my psyche".

Default Disagree with the others saying that pre-B5 cars were weak in design

I think the RS2 remains one of the better looking Audis.

Default I remember the Audi brake/gas pedal scare...

that might be when people dumped the brand for their Volvos

Default I remember my dad backing his 5000s into the garage and

telling me not to stand in front of the car because at any point it could accelerate unexpectedly...wow

I think the intro of the A4 in '95 really changed the brand for the positive.

It was all a question of design, before the A4, Audi's designs TRULY sucked- lucky they fixed it tho
