Re: thoughts on tires:
Funny you should bring this up. I just purchased a set of those tires only a couple hours ago. Will be able to post my findings Monday-ish once they come in are installed and I do some serious driving.
They seem to review very well though. And apparently they're among the very best (if not best) for wet traction in their class.
Though I do hear a lot of good stuff about Falkens.

have them in 235/45/17 on my 02 sport package
This is my first set of performance tires so I don't have anything to judge them against, but with that being said I am 100% satisfied with my purchase.
The level of grip they have is amazing, I will outdrive my car before these tires let loose. To even get a slight chirp out of them I have to be going fast enough to get arrested. Super grippy in the wet too. I have never had them hydroplane or slide out. As far as comfort level goes they seem to be pretty good. Judging them against my winter tires (blizzak lm-25) they are not any better or worse as far as comfort goes, noise level is a bit lower with the pole positions. Can't comment on wear quite yet since i've only had them for a few thousand miles.
Like I said, i'm no expert when it comes to tires, but I can't imagine there being another summer tire out there thats really that much better. The bridgestones are definitely some quality rubber. Also, on tire rack, at least in my size they seem to be signifigantly cheaper than the other competitors. Can't really go wrong.
