Default Throttle Learned Response

Does anyone know the real facts about this? Besides a chip and obvious mods ,Is there an easier way to make the throttle response a bit quicker. My 1.8T really is a slug when I have to get away quick to cross a highway into traffic. It is scary sometimes....

What you're describing has more to do with the boost characteristics of the turbo than anything.

tonight i tweaked it or at least it seemed so...turned key on , held pedal for 1 minute or so...key off , but didn't wait 2 minutes...even so, the car seemed much quicker both off the line and on the road when i get on it...I will try your way tomorrow.Thanks..

Good advice for downshifting, but I don't think that's what he's asking about.
