This may sound extremely stupid, but who cares. Anyone know how big the rear subwoofer is in the trunk with the bose system. Want to take it out and put somethin else stronger in the same position.

Other Bose systems seem to sound better than the one we have. I know for sure that the Nd woofer in the Acura and the Infiniti must be superior to the one in the A4.

The Bose system cannot run a new speaker in any location due to unique impedance within the system. You must replace the sub and add an amplifier to have this work for you. Not to mention that I would never never never put a sub in an "Infinite Baffle" application in anyones car. A sub suspended below the rear deck with no enclosure other than the trunk is an infinite baffle enclosure. They are sloppy, require tons of power over conventional enclosures, and you cannot tune the frequency response AT ALL !

JL Audio Stealthbox from my '98. I think it had(2) 8" IB subs. One of the few things I really miss from that car.
