First post for me since I got my car nearly two months ago, used to post under screen name need02A4.
Back to my question, I already bars, bike and ski Attachments for Yakima from my old car and just need the clips and towers. Is there any reason I should get a Thule system instead? I hear Thule builds the Audi rack which would indicate they know car well.
Any comments or suggestions would be great.

have the bars, bike and ski racks i would just get the right towers from Yakima. A buddy of mine who works at a bike shop says they are pretty much equal quality.

better (IMHO) that the Thule. Besides, Yakima is USA made, you own the bars, AND, why put
all that Yakima stuff in the landfill? There is too much trash already!

They just look similar. I doubt that has changed for 02. Moving on, there isn't any significant difference between Yak and Thule. Both should fit the car very well (provided that have foot packs that fit the 02 A4's). Both are high quality systems, and if you already own the Yak, then stick with it. ebay your old footpacks.
