Don't think so. It's a wear and tear item.

Default My gut says no seeing as how ...

it'd make Audi lose every time on the ~$2k assured cpo warranty.

Default that's a risk that they take when they warranty a car

they're better that it won't break

Default Yeah, they will replace the belt if it breaks, along with a new long block assembly..

to go with it.

Default That is the funny thing....

having it break would cost them so much money and everyone seems to agree they don't make it as far as Audi original intended, or at least shouldn't be pushed as long as Audi intended.

It's funny how that works.

Default belt could be covered so if it snaps and breaks your engine they will have to fix everything

but the belt rollers are not covered and if those fail you have the same engine damage and out thousands of dollars. and roller failures fail more often. also to mention the water pump impeller separates and breaks around 60k and thats not covered.

Default I would think that AoA has calculated the statistics vs the financial impact. .

And have concluded they will be ahead by risking the more expensive situation against the cost of replacing many belts routinely.
