i was moving 30 mph and i thought i was in tip mode and shifted up only to find out that i actually shifted to neutral, so the rpm revved to like 4k and i panicked and shifted into S and i heard the tire chirp...
problem is, i always seem to do this...how bad is this for my tranny?
thanks.

nuetral drops = very very bad for transmission
manual shifting = bad for transmission
the computer program (even in tip mode) makes alot of decisions on shifting, which you are overriding by forcing it.
get a manual tranny man. Tiptronic on the audi is so damn boring its really pointless.
also the buttons on the steering wheel should help you avoid this as well, thats what they are put there for.
