245/40s are a little more than 2% smaller than stock, and 245s don't rub. You should be fine.

Default I have 235/40/17 on an eight inch wide mag and they don't rub with a lowered suspension...
If I am not mistaking, your mags are only 7,5 inches wide. You better check if the tire manufacturer allows you to fit those tires (245/40/17) on a 7.5 inch mag.

Thanks guys, I'll check out the mounting guide and see of 7.5 can take the 245.
