Default You had that too??!?

Freaked the hell out of me...I had the tires for a few hundred miles, and I had to return them.

Did it set off ESP for you (without the car actually slipping)?

Default More tire retailer BS.No way is less tread in front better.90% of situations, front tread matters

front tread matters a buttload more. That stupid conclusion is based on one type of panic avoidance manouver in a poor handling vehicle with an unskilled driver. It's just a way of selling more tires. I wonder how many people are killed because they could not steer or brake because their good tires were in back? let's take our stupid drone caps off and use some common sense. I could not make my cars spin-out in any normal circumstance no matter how bald my rears are, but bald fronts are a constant plague. Look at the puncture issue, would you rather a F or R puncture? More tread resists puncture. Obviously, the fronts wipe water away as well as provide all the steering and most braking. Still think the recommendation for better tread in rear is a good idea? It is not, I would be stuck in snow 1/2 the year if I followed that. It pisses me off.

Default no, but all tires are "slippery" until you rough them up a bit by driving.

My michelins came with a warning about reduced braking and handling for first 500 miles.

Default Link

Not the same video I saw, but it will do.

Look for link at bottom of page:

In regards to your comments above, I don't see how this advice could be used to sell more tires.

Is it not clear fronts do 95% of work? What about straight-braking, snow, punctures / blow-outs?
