Tires for 2005 A4 1.8T Quattro USP
I have a 2005 (B6) A4 1.8T Quattro with the Ultrasport package. I just hit 50k miles and this afternoon discovered a chunk of my tire missing from the car. Needless to say, time for new tires.
I first replaced the tires at 25k miles (went from OEM Conti's to Pirelli PZero Nero M&S 235/40WR-18). Now it's time for another set.
What's the latest thinking with respect to tires? I'm an average user, drive about 15 miles a day, and am not looking for anything too expensive or performance-oriented. I'd like a quality tire that will last another 25k miles at least.
I got my Pirelli's from Tirerack and was really happy with the overall experience, so would like to order from Tirerack again.
Any suggestions
Many thanks in advance.

I've driven on Falken, for many years, and several of my Audi's....
the RS6 reps in my sig-pic have Falken ST115's.
My OEM 18" USP wheels have Falken 912's.
My old 19" wheels had Falken 452's.
Good tire for the money.

I've never heard of General... reliable tire? ....
Looks like they're the best bargain on TireRack. I live in Central VA and don't see much snow, so it seems like the General UHP would work. Are they going to hold up as well as my Pirelli's and the factory Conti's?
Thanks everyone for your help.
MikTip, I also looked at the Falken and appreciate your recommendation. It looks like TireRack doesn't carry them and my local Firestone doesn't have them in stock.

Generals are great bang for your buck. Loved mine, grippy, pretty quiet, great wet handling.
Can't beat the price. Mine lasted about 23k miles with spirited driving.
