Default Bypassed or removed boost reservoir, replaced DV vacuum hose, installed new heat shield

No FMIC or DSMIC for you yet?

Default 2 of 3, not bad

for the boost reservoir, I couldn't find a 1" ID connector to replace the T fitting, so I moved the DV down to where the T was and use a ~1' piece of 1" heater hose to connect it back up. Should be more efficient this way with the DV closer to the turbo outlet hose. plus it will make the DV easier to service (Forge 007).

picked up one of <a href="http://www.audizine.com/forum/showthread.php?t=89270">these</a> heat shields, seems like a well-made piece.

no DSMIC/FMIC yet, as I'm seriously considering moving to a B6 S4 avant (or maybe 2.7T S-line C5 A6) so am holding off any major upgrades until after I figure that out

Default Thx, Ive got my heatshield from 00black1.8t sitting in storage right now

waiting for some decent weather to yank the box and install it. Did you just line it up and drill holes? I gather its that easy. I agree though, not bad for $90 shipped.

Default I did a test fit, marked with a sharpie, then lined up with existing shield to verify hole spacing

didn't keep the OEM heat shield in though, seemed unnecessary.

Default

it seemed to me that it was one or the other, both would just be extra weight
