Default top of gauge cluster display is starting to flicker...usually seems to calm down after cooling

has anyone seen this happen before?

it's just the top few lines that are flickering.

i wonder if it's just a loose connection or a solder joint that needs redone...any ideas?

Default Similar issue here, except instead of flickering mine fades out along the top when it's hot.

I haven't brought it to the dealer...think they'll cover it under warranty?

Default Mine just started doing that this week.

I've had the car for five years now and it has never happened before. The "OK" that displays on startup is dim and flickers.

Then the "CD1" for example will be slightly dim at the top of the number only. I searched the forums and can't find a cause either.

It goes away after a few minutes and after turning the radio off and back on.

Default Please, contact Audi customer CARE and log a complaint. Link within.

http://www.audiusa.com/audi/us/en2/forms/customer_relations.htx

they said that they are tracking the issue and that the instrument cluster is a recalled item in europe.

Default when i filled out the form, i received a call from them within 30 minutes

I'm thinking you'll likely get one tomorrow. Be courteous and understanding, but at the same time express that you don't expect this of an Audi.
