Default Transmission and Diff. Fluid Change?

2002 1.8TQMS & 41K miles. Feel that the car isn't as smooth as it once was but has been maintained 'by the book' but with oil changes every 3500 miles. Should I change the other fluids, and, if so, what does everyone recommend?

Look into Motul and Redline fluids. I use Redline MT-90 in my trans and 75w90 in rear diff.

Default Motul! You can use the same oil in both the manual gearbox and rear diff...

Myself and others run Motul Gear 300. ;o)

Pepboys sell Mobil 1 synthetic 75w90 gear lube which you can use for both the manual trans and diffs.

Default i find using M1 would cause 2nd gear grind, MT90 or synchromesh has friction additives

that eliminate 2nd gear grind

Default Audi maintenance says you should change transmission fluid at 100k
