has anyone done a transmission fluid and filter change and has had a positive outcome??? Audi Stealership is telling me that they have more problems changing the tranny fluid than not changing it at all...suggestions

1) If you have a PRNDS gear level but your car is not AWD, then it is a CVT.
2) Most independent shops can change the fluid and filter. It is good practice, although I think the intervals are either every 45k or every 70k (I'm not quite sure which one). The dealership probably doesn't want to be bothered with it, but it is good preventitive maintenence

I recently had my car serviced at 20,000 miles and asked the dealership to change the tranny fluid. They said it was not necessary until 35,000 but I insisted due to the horror stories that I have read about CVTs failing. The cost was about $140.
