at Autozone and waited just enough time for it to be cool enough not to burn. The oil was very warm. I even spend about 30 minutes on the procedure constantly repositioning the tube just to make sure I got as much as I could. .5 qts shy is what I came up with and I really tried hard to get every last drop. I dunno. I'll use it again after 2 changes, but i think ill get the same result. cheers! Mike

Do the math with even 1/2q of old oil. It represents 1/8 of the total oil. Take a severly depleted oil and the measurements of TAN, TBN, insoluables etc., then dillute it in 8 times as much fresh oil. Where is the problem? People service engines this way because it works. oem manufacturers do it too. Some of us are too obsessive...I fight that impulse every second ;0)
