The rears are running from the factory amp; all I wanted was "fill" for better soundstage anyhow, so the rear is just fine the way it is. The fronts for now are being driven from the Kenwood head unit internal amp. It actually sounds pretty nice. I will upgrade and mount that amp up behind the glove box (lots of room back there). When I do that, I'll probably crank the gains on the subwoofer. For now, though, it still is 100% better sounding than the stock was. And I'm one of those who thought the stock stuff wasn't too bad (for stock). Some trash the stock (many just because it IS stock), but I thought it wasn't so bad... until I heard what I have now. Not even close.

It's not an autotoys brand; it's Metra. After I bought it I found it way cheaper everywhere else. Just search for a Metra 99-9102 or Metra double-din Audi 2002+... you'll find it cheap.

Basically, it controls the voice-recognition of the NAV system. You tell it what you want or where you want to go, and it figures the route and responds.

but yeah, it was a lot more than most other trim kits. I just figured that it was because it was a new kit (i think i'm one of the first people to have used it)
