Ok, test drove a 1.8T Quattro last night. Loved the firm, confident handling the Audi conveys.
IMO, both cars (TSX and 1.8TQ) are fun to drive and have nice interiors. The price difference will not a factor, particularly since the Audi dealer here in MI have lots on hand and eager to deal.
Now, I'm torn between TSX and A4...decisions, decisions. So help me decide....what do you like/dislike about your A4? ***Particularly interested in comments about reliability and quality.***
Thanks.

This is my second car, my first car was an A4, and so is my second. I have a feeling my third car will also be an Audi of some kind when April of 2007 rolls around. You won't find the enthusiasm surrounding the TSX that you'll find encompassing the A4. Wait until more of the B5 people start to get new A4s, this board will TAKE OFF just like the 96-01 did some time ago! In reality, the TSX is a great Japanese car but it's basically just a SUPER-DUPER Honda Accord when all said and done.

If you were a car person then you would easily see how much better the A4 is built and how much better the quattro drives.
If you can't really tell my guess is you are a point a to point b person with your car. In that case a safe reliable Honda/Acura is the way to go.

This has been talked about several times in the past few months. Actually, I started an interesting thread not too long ago. Personally, I would go for the A4 because yes, I am partial but back when I was test driving the A4 in 9/02 the TSX wasn't around. In any case, I like the A4's interior, Quattro, and warranty. Thing that stands out is the 12 years anti-rust warranty. Nobody can beat that.
On the other hand, the TSX does throw in a lot of nice extras. A nicer stereo perhaps, controls on the steering wheel, more HP, and a DVD nav unit to boot. All for under 30K, a few Gs less than my A4.
I read somewhere (not sure where now) that the TSX may become available with all-wheel drive in the 2005 or 2006 model. Now that would give Audi some competition.
Whatever your happy with, it's your $. Happy driving.

Let's go with the basic premise that I'm smart enough to have a similar cross post at a TSX forum....duH!

I have to agree. I drove the TSX because my father in law kept suggesting that I take a look. Even my wife (who was with me in the car, and on my A4 test drive) was unimpressed.
I just took delivery of my new A4 yesterday...
