Default Of course, reliable starting is a must. Anything less, is unacceptable....

Despite saying that I expect some off-spec issues to occur, constant trouble is a deal breaker. To proactively avoid trouble, considerable additional close inspection, maintainence and associated repairs is required.
For example, I know the material condition in detail, and the operational status of the various systems and equipment on my A4. I am fussy about insisting mechanical equipment is in optimum running condition. Therefore, I am confident in the reliability of my Audi. I don't worry about failures, because I know the condition of my A4 in detail. Planned extra maintenance, allows the discovery of any potential problems that may be developing, and provides the opportunity to correct the situation before it deteriorates further into a failure condition.
I prefer to determine when I want to fix my car. I don't like the car determining for me. When it does, it will almost always be when it is the most inconvenient and costly.

Default Please keep in mind that MB's experience is an isolated one that may or may not have been compounded

by the indy shop that performed the initial repairs on the vehicle.
