Default turbo upgrade recc's

so right now i don't have too much performance on my 2003 1.8t.. only the revo chip, carbonio intake, forge DV, and i'm planning on getting the thermal race exhaust. so in addition to this, i'd like to upgrade the turbo. i've read some threads and many turbo kits require their own specific ECU, internal parts etc. i was just wondering if you could recommend any turbo upgrades that would be able to utilize the performance mods i have right now.. and of course in a stable manner. i guess basically.. to sum up: i do not want to have to replace my revo chip and carbonio intake just for a turbo upgrade.. thanks.

Just grab a K04, injectors, and upgrade your programming from Revo.

Default Dr. Mike

I'm just curiuos, the Revo setup is really getting common (injectors/k04/revo) what im wondering is why people dont go with dahlback? i mean, they have k04 software you can get for 499...

why does everyone choose revo over tuv aproved dahlback ? is there something im missing here? i'l have my k04 before january, and it seems like im gonna be the first person on the forums to have k04+dahlback software...i guess im just puzzled because i only read good things about dahlback..where as Revo is debatable by some..

Default I think a lot of it is advertising...

Some people read a post about a kit and immediately put it on their list of things to get without looking at longitudinal data.

You really dont hear much about Dahlback and they dont visit this site. They dont seem to advertise much either. Think about MTM as well. If Jet and I didnt have it, you would hear very little about it even though they are arguably the tuner with the best reputation. They dont advertise or visit the forums either. Just wait til after you get your car together and start posting about it. Suddenly there will be a rash of posts about the Dahlback K04.

Good luck with it Amir.

cheers! Mike

That's relative, but being in the neigborhood of 235hp and 250tq would be a ballpark.

Default Who's running Dahlback? Not too many are...

And none as far as I know are running their K04 kit. So it's not a fair comparison. I think people are running Revo because you have the SPS3, you can chose different programs. I don't think Dahlback has that option yet. However saying that, I think Dahlback makes quality stuff. I thought about getting their K04 kit cause it's a bigger K04. It makes good power as well. They're K04 is 2200.00 just for the turbo, it's a hybrid and it's a bit bigger than the standard K04. Are they selling their K04 software without the entire kit? Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think the offer it alone.
