Default Yeah, I liked the clutch feel with the SB. I think I will have to buy a new DMFW instead of

resurfacing it at this point...?

Default So just went out...could NOT reproduce it! Floored it in 5th multiple times around 3k, no problems

with power or slippage.

Very strange. You know, a year ago, I had the same thing happen to me. Driving along in 5th, it slipped from 3.5k to about 4.2k. Happened once or twice on the highway and never happened again till now. I had posted about it and people were saying the clutch is going and that was with about 55k miles IIRC. Now at 87k miles, wonder if the same thing is happening now again...a one or two time fluke and goes away for another year =P Hopefully, that'll be nice.

No idea. I changed the clutch at arond 45K miles and they didn't have to resurface mine.

Default Well, I'd be without the car for three days if I send mine out for resurfacing.

Day 1 - Bring it in and get FW out and send to SB
Day 2 - Receive, resurface and send out
Day 3 - Get FW back and install new clutch.

I don't have another car so that kinda sucks and I can't get around...unless I rent a car =P With 87k...I'd think the FW should just be replaced instead of resurfaced. I dunno, ugh.

Rent a car. About $20-25 per day for a basic one.

Default I suppose I could. It would suck though to pull out the FW and find that I need a new one

instead of a resurface.

I wonder what the chances are of my FW being re-surfaceable at this mileage.

downshift to 4th and punch it, no problems. you'll get a ton of lag driving your way.
