Default Universal (Jeff); Please help with snub mount

Hey man i read your last thread about the APR snub mount. I got mine and i am planning on installing it tommorrow however i wanted to know which side you found to be the correct side that goes onto the engine mount. Do i put the place the longer side of the snub mount on? Or is it the short side? Thanks in advance!

Default Well..

When you look at the snub mount there is one end that is more round and smooth and finished looking and the other end looks like it has just been cut off. Well you will want the end that looks cut off to go into the bracket first so that the finished clean looking end will be facing towards the front of the car when installed. You can tell right away if you have it on right by whether or not the bracket for the snub mount is sticking through the other end of the snub mount. If it is, its on wrong. Hope this helps!

When you tightened the basket for the snib mount was it position so that the snub mount wasnt touching anything?

Default Did you loosen the basket too much?

If you loosen the basket too much it will just stay dropped to the bottom no matter how many time you align it. You need to loosen it just enough so that it can be moved by hand but it will not fall by the forces of gravity. If that doesnt work that Im all out of ideas.

Default well then i think i did loosen it too much ,,but...

I dont think that has to much to do with it. Because the vibration has actually gone down a lot to the point that its barely noticeable. The vibration is there right when i start the car up and its cold but after it heats up the snub mount seems to loosen up alot. Either way its WELL worth it!! The snub mount and my Neuspeed short shifter make shifting in this car so much smoother and nicer!!!
thanks again jeff for your help!
