Default I have no doubt in their findings. But those are not increases in Hp and torque...

They are simply saying that their FMIC after five back to back runs gave more HP and torque than the standars OEM intercooler. Totally believable. Now to say their FMIC will be better then X Y Z brand FMICs is unknown. Also they don't mention anything about pressure drop and turbo lag. They don't even say which type of turbo they were running.

Jet did they think about ducting it to the same inlet point and shape as stock?

Yes we did. Too sharp of a turn even if it was possible.
