This is the answer we got from Motul France via Motul Canada to whom we asked the questions to. It comes directly from the Motul technical department.
" Yes certain brake fluids can cause compatibility problems with aluminium/magnesium alloys.
Generally speaking our entire line of brake fluid products, DOT 3, DOT 4, DOT 5.1 and RBF 600 are compatible with aluminium/magnesium alloys. The RBF 600 an cause compatibility problems with alloys made of high contents of magnesium, read almost pure Mg.
To summarize, on OEM brake systems, all Motul brake fluids, including the RBF 600 are compatible. Certain Audi A3s came equipped with brake callipers made of magnesium alloy and Audi recommended using DOT 4 and we recommended, Motul DOT 4 or 5.1 for daily use.
On special competition parts be careful and try to find out what alloys are used in those parts. If in doubt use Motul 5.1 instead of the RBF 600."
The end.

DOT5.1 is still a very good choice as I have said many times.
That's an interesting point about the Mg. calipers and competition parts (BBK's). Most of this has been focussed on OEM parts ONLY.
