That's the TMC box

With out it, the Nav/radio/cd info don't appear in the in instrument cluster.
BTW, can you please take some more pictures for your color display ?

Been itching to get the Nav Plus ever since I got my car. Would be nice if there was a tutorial out there to help us electronically challenged people

The problem is that to get it I have to find the time for make a trip to my local Audi dealer .
