Upgrading standard sound system. Pls make some noise!
Ok, I thought I'd be able to deal with the standard sound system, but it's obvious I need something with more juice. Before buying the Audi I test drove an IS-300. Wasn't very impressed by it, except it's sound system... it was unbelievable (Mark Levinson?). I don't think I've heard a system as good as that in a car before.
So, guys, I'd appreciate any recommendations on upgrading the system/speakers/amps or whatever. I don't want to go beyond $1500. I listen mosly to Trance, House, Dance, Club, and Ska. Any recommendatiuons on a system or components?

Yeah, I got a clean 4x75 watt amp for sale, $50.You could build a system around it.As for oem BOSE

I just wanted to say to people, if you have BOSE speakers at home, you'll like it. If you have a real system, forget it and go custom. At home, I am using a Nakamichi MB-1s, Adcom 555MkII, KEF C95s and a serious KEF powered sub 200w
Crutchfield Amp is new, never installed and the POLK 6.5s were never out of the box, another $50.

Try the audio forum. Been some good suggestions about...
...adding amps and speakers. I own Skarekrow some pics on the speakers and amp locations but that'll be about 2-3 weeks from now. Some have already boosted the rear amp and added subs. Part of the problem is you have to remove the door panels to really replace the mids/tweeters and the sub is a non-standard size plus free air.
Again, the audio section will be more on point.
