I looked at the vag-com locator...

...but wanted to know if anyone on there was on here reading the forums.
I'm in Chicago, but can drive almost anywhere around there to meet up.
This is for an early 2005 B6 A4 3.0 that's throwing the 'gas cap missing' error message (I had my gas cap replaced recently) and while it's not throwing the check engine light (as it did the 2 days I ran without the cap plus several more turnovers once it was back in place) it does give me the missing cap light on my dash every time I turn it on. Gas has been refilled several times since.
I'd like to know...
1. If I can clear that message without it cropping up again. (Or if this is something I need to see the dealer about for real)
2. To explore the vag-com utility a little and see what I can see on my car. I have the 607 util on a laptop with USB and serial connections available. I need use of the cable for maybe an hour and a good conversation with a knowledgable person on the software and functions I can use.
Oh, and I'll bring the beer. ;-)
Thanks!
Rich
