They don't need somebody to roll up their windows remotely and choke their kid who's head is hanging out the window.
I think it's a combo of Audi's fear of the problems they had many years ago with the acceleration deal with the Audi 5000 (I think) and the fact that in the US nobody accepts responsibility for themselves and sues for everything. It's the always somebody elses fault mentality.

I was told that enabling remote up/down disables the pressure sensors that stop the windows when there's an obstacle; thus my dealer wouldn't do that mod for me.

I sort of see your point, but I would think that Audi would be able to use this as an extra luxury option to entice buyers.
