VAG Question -"pointer and scales lit all the time"
I had the "pointer and scales lit all the time" VAG mod done. The problem: there is a light sensor is at the bottom of the speedometer near 0 MPH. When the sensor detects light, it makes the scales brighter. When low light is detected, the scales get dimmer. This seems to defeat the purpose. Anyone else experience this or have a fix?

How does this defeat the purpose? Seems like it's working perfectly
When light is hitting the guages (as during the day) you'd need the illumination to be brighter so you can see the effect at all.
Then at night, you'd want the guages to dim so they don't ruin your night vision.
I don't see the problem, am I missing something?

Re: How does this defeat the purpose? Seems like it's working perfectly
My preference is for the scales to be bright all the time. In the evening (lowish light) when you don't necessarily want the headlights on but the scales lit would be ideal, the current set up makes the scales not light up at all when the light is low. The scales are light at maximum brightness is the daylight which is not useful or effective. My impressing is the sensor is overly sensitive.
