Vibrant Exhaust Test Results
Many have asked for Vibrant Exhaust dyno results. I am excited to report that the Vibrant exhaust offered through StartupRacing for the B6 and B7 Audi A4 delivers honest horsepower and torque gains along with very pleasant sound. We are showing 8 hp and 8 lbs. of torque just with the Vibrant exhaust. (These test were performed on a Mustang AWD dyno on a 2006 B7 A4 2.0TQ)
Some of this gain can be easily explained by how the stock exhaust is built. Please take a look at the crimped pipes in the stock piece.

Now let's compare them to the Vibrant pieces:

Stock exhaust is full of bottlenecks and areas for improvement. Vibrant has done that. But many exhausts can show peak 8 HP improvement, please note how the torque curve has been raised by 5 lbs. throughout the range:

Testing was done on a chipped A4 2.0T and 92 Octane gas. Please focus on the torque curve, there is no doubt that this exhaust is doing its job well. I bet that with additional tuning offered by Revo software, we could get few more horses out of this setup. (We could probably ask for a bit more boost, as the turbos will have an easier time working against the backpressure.)
But what about the sound? Gorgeous! Not loud, definitely on the conservative side but still clear that you have an aftermarket exhaust. I really do not understand why Audi did not make this part of the S-Line package. If you listen to the stock piece, it is pretty much silent. Under WOT you can hear the engine and at speed the tires, but the exhaust is not heard. This changes with the Vibrant, but I can not see anyone being annoyed by it. And going through tunnels - what a joy!
Sound clip on the dyno can be downloaded here. (I know, hard to hear the exhaust.)
Installation - 60 to 90 minutes with a lift. I would not be surprised if many get it done in 30.
If you are interested in purchasing this Vibrant exhaust, please follow the link below. They are coming in stock this week, and only limited quantities are available.
Finally sound clips (Test Pipe and Vibrant):

Nice write up. I am having a tough time finding the sound clip.
Very tempting for me. The price is very agressive which makes it even tougher for me.

I do not. But I would not get hung up on that.
Just focus on the fact that this exhauts flows more air than the stock piece. Is that going to be 5 or 10 HP on the 1.8T... hard to say. But your throttle response will be better, you will have great sound and the car will be set for more mods. If you want HP gains, chip and test pipe will deliver these much faster than an exhaust. But you need to exhaust to round up the package.

Yeah, forget about the peak HP gain and just look at the torque curve.

It just helps throughout the range...
