Viper Invisibeam Field Disturbance Sensor
I am about to get my viper 791xv installed in my a4 after a recent breakin I had for my radar detector...
I was wondering whether or not I should get the optional Invisibeam Field Disturbance Sensor.
-----
Generates two invisible detection fields around your vehicle, offering either a Warn Away® response or full alarm. Great for convertibles, trucks or any car.
-----
Do you this would go off too much if I were parked in a parking lot? What if someone parked next to me and were walking between the cars or something.
Anyone have any experience with these sensors?

alarms don't really prevent thugs from breaking into your car.
Regardless if there's an alarm, if they see something in your car that they want.. they will just do a smash and grab.
The stock alarm isn't great (or very useful for that matter.) you are better off just making sure you keep your glove box, rear seats, and trunk locked. If its valuable, take it out of your car when you park it. Otherwise LOCK it in the trunk or glove box.

Those audible warning things are dumb, I intentionally make the alarm go off if I get "warned"
a swift shake of the car will usually do it. then i sit back and watch while i laugh at how ghey the alarm is.
