Default I like the revenge approach myself...

I can see all points of view here, but this bitch needs a little payback! (at least $145 worth) I bet she ownes the tow-truck too and purposely keeps the signs small.

Default sorry man----however, keyword(s) per your own post "PRIVATE PROPERTY"

since it is private property, they can tow your car at their whim. hell if they didn't like the color of your car, they can have it towed.

Default i understand that if you take a risk and lose, then pay up; but what about the case where ...

an honest law-abiding citizen (who stuggles with a modest living to raise his/her kids) parks there, lured in by the fact that the lot appears to be public, except for a tiny little sign that's been made to be pretty much unnoticable?

Would you at least agree that the lot owner is probably trying to trick people into parking there? In that case, shouldn't somebody (say JBM) stand up to the lot owner to prevent her from capitalizing further on innocent people?

Default There are 4 entries to the parking lot and well only two entries had the signs so screw them

and I did not know people were getting towed before I did it because everybody does it and well it wont happen again.

Default Still your fault.

I would go so far as to say that they probably don't need any signs, private property is private property. Do you put a sign on your driveway that tells people they can't park there? How would you like someone trying to sell their car in your driveway and then being pissed at you because you had them towed?

Default Very true

And this lot owner is being a real man by not letting JBM take advantage of him/her.

Default There's a difference between property made available for commercial purposes

Don't remember the exact terminology, but when a business is providing the lot (or a municipality) there are more stringent legal requirements compared with your personal driveway -- which is intended mainly for invited guests (who don't pay or use services).
