Hello guys,
I have a 2004 A4 1.8TQ, and recently I found out that my front rotors are warped. I was told by my dealership that as of 2004 and after, brake components are not covered by Warranty. So, they told me that it would cost me $275 for them to machine them.
However, I have recieved comments against machining them from my friends. But I still would like to know if you guys are against machining the rotors.
Also, I would like to know where I am able to find good rotors for my Audi. Is there any online stores where I can order them?
Thank you in advance.

ecs tuning has stock rotors that can be bought cross drilled or slotted. i think they are like 100 each rotor so its better than machining.

ecs

You are the first to say that brakes aren't covered in the bumper to bumper warranty, IIRC. even on my wife's Volvo they covered brake pads, let alone warped rotors. At 10K miles, rotors should be just fine.
If you still find a need to buy them, you can find A4 rotor replacements all over from many tuner shops and even your local Autozone probably has some.

I would go somewhere else and/or talk to AoA. BTW, machining rotors is not necessarily bad if they are not in terrible shape and a knowledgeable shop does the work.
