Default Appreciate all the feedback and will keep you posted.

I plan on contacting the dealer this morning to ask them to provide the error codes they recieved for both catalytic converters to see if there is any difference, which I would not suspect there to be any. I am going to wait then to see what the letter from AOA states. I am assuming that the warranty will be denied on the basis of the Audi Warranty and not the Federal EPA Clean Air Act, which will in turn give me the basis of my argument. I then plan to contact the EPA and probably the BBB. I will try my best for other Audi owners to make this a point. Thanks again for all the feedback.

yes- the power of a lawyer's letter or phone call can change things quickly.

Default My best friends dad is the president of Monaco Coach and I have heard of things (seen it once) like

that. A customer had an issue and posted giant lemon banners on their coach and drove up and down the street for a week. They drove home empty handed. This was truly not a bad dealership experience. They guy got news media coverage and looked like a jackass. Not very related to this...but it was funny and in this case the customer was wrong actually. He had an A/C problem, Monaco offered to replace the system and he said no, he wanted a whole new coach!!

Default Did you have your coil packs go bad?

My cat's had to be replaced shortly after the coil packs went bad. I was told that when the coil packs good bad the send un-burned fuel into the exhaust which caused my bad cat...I am no 'car guy' but this made sense to me.

Default To get your claim covered, you must....

call your dealerships regional rep....that person has the ability to get your cat paid for under warranty, regardless of what others have told you.

Default There isn't a way to "tag" the vehicle for denied warranty....

Unless it is a total. Unless a claim is submitted to Audi for a repair, nothing is submitted.

Default The problem is more than likely with the dealer not AOA....

Generally the repair is denied at the dealer level. I would be surprised if AOA knows anything about it, besides your call to make a complaint. But they are just there to take the calls, and then contact the dealer to find out what happened. I would have them contact a Audi field rep to discuss your claim. That is not right to claim the exhaust had anything to do with the cat.

Good luck,

Ryan
