Default Warranty Gold problems

I am writing this to bring people's attention to Warranty Gold(WG). I got an extended warranty from them, in December 2002, a few months before Audi's warranty ran out. I just found out while trying to process a claim, that the claims processor for WG, National Warranty Insurance Company RRG, has been declared insolvent, and though the issue is in courts, it is unlikely that WG can recover those. All WG will say is that claims can not be paid and that even if one chose to cancel the contract, pro-rated funds can not be paid out. They will not help existing customers by discounting a new contract either.
This is a far cry from their claims of being a 'solid' EW provider and testament to their poor customer service. So, even though they claim to be daleing wth a new claims administartor, I will never again do businees with them and wrote this as something to consider for those seeking EW.

Default I'm in the same situation...

with Warranty Gold. I am pursuing a full refund via my credit card company, and that is looking good, although I had to write a few letters and make a lot of calls. There is no way that Warranty Gold os going to return funds, so your only hope is that they start paying claims again and honor the original warranty. If you did pay via CC though, contact them ASAP.
