Default Warranty Questions.

What voids an Audi warranty?

I'm going to be adding sport shocks and springs to my 02 1.8TMQ -they are Audi stock sport, to replace stock non sport. Dealer says any mod voids warranty -even if they do the work and replace with Audi Shocks. So if I have a suspension issue will I SOL?

Also dealer say cost for install is 600-700, local Audi/Import shop 500-600, and a local wheel and performance shop says $350 -if warranty is voided do I get it done for $350?

Thoughts? Thanx

Default If it uses OEM parts and is installed by the dealer, it shouldn't void warranty, IMO.

Try to find another dealer. Or call up AoA and verify with them.

Default What exactly do you think is going to break in 50K from Shocks and Springs.

If the install is done right it will be fine. Remember your Audi is a CAR like the other billion of them on the road. This is not open heart surgery it is springs and shocks. Just use good aftermarket parts and it will outlast the Audi parts.

I think H&R Sport or NeuSpeed Sport Springs seem to be a good fit and Koni or Bilstein shocks.

I don't know the best combo - but I don't see much that can go wrong.
