wonder if 3.0L's can gain torque from putting a cross pipe on the car? wonder how you'd do that with the drive shaft in the way?

I never really thought about it for the A4 though. I know the crossover solves a problem with V8 firing order that doesn't exist with a V6. But there are other benefits to an X or H pipe like reduced backpressure and a mellower sound.
I think there is room for it. It's definitely something to research.

an H shape I guess. What's the purpose? To balance out the backpressure between the two banks of cylinders?
