Default water coming out through face vents

Anyone in humid climates experienced water being expelled through face vents when switching on "Econ" mode and high fan after a period of driving with aircon engaged? Surely this is supposed to go someone other than in your face :-)

Have checked the drain tube and water comes out there (as it should I guess)

I had adopted the "Econ" before stopping process to stop the water remaining in the evaporator and creating a foul smell on startup.

Any ideas???

Default I've never seen that myself. I know using econ can build up moisture

Do it only happening following rain (like the drain in the vent is clogged) or is this a moisture build up thing?

its only when switching back to Econ after having the air con on. Its as though the moisture which has "frozen" to the front of the evaporator is thawing and with the high fan speed cannot drain through the normal channel and instead goes out through the vents..

Default

You mean water vapor? Yep, normal. (Houston here...more than qualifies as humid.)

Default without "Air-Conditioning" you wouldn't be able to remove the humidity from the air, thus turning

OFF ECON will solve your problem. You've got too much moisture in your air, it needs to be "conditioned". Sure the water should drain out, but not at high fan speed.
