weird xenon problem after lights off

took my car out for an automatic car wash (brushless), nothing went wrong until tonight when I noticed that my aftermarket HID kit tries to ignite itself (click, click, click sounds from the ballast) and turned on with engine and light snob off. This is happening to the passenger side only. Now that there is no way to turn that side's headlight off. So I removed the grounding to prevent battery drain. Lights worked perfect and stable after I turn them on, no flickers. It's just that the passenger headlight/ballast always ignites and then turns on when I shut down the engine and lights.
is this more likely a problem with the headlight relay or something wrong with the internal circuits? Didn't get a close look yet since it would be raining for a few days.

Unplug the 12 vdc switched power input to the ballast. Check for corrosion there.

If this happened right after you went through a high pressure washer, its a good bet something got wet. I would estimate that your problem is with the wiring harness if you used one. I'd check into corrosion on the relay. If things are working right with the wiring, that 1 ballast shouldnt' even be getting power in the first place.
