Default *Ding* That's it. I've used it a few times when I didn't have OE filter. It is the larger size

like the OE for the 1.8Ts.

a road trip. I'll have put on about 1200kms before its over so i figured it had better be done.

Where can you pick up the Purolator in Canada?

Default Several places: ....

UniSelect Auto Parts, Bestbuy Auto Parts,
Auto Extra, McQuik Lube Outlets.

NOTE: The PL20252 is the correct filter, but is not shown for the application because it's a smaller filter than the "large" unit specified by Audi in response to the oil sludging problem. Regardless, the PL20252 is suitable.
In addition, if you are performing more frequent OCI than specified, IE every 5000 miles, the filter size is not really an issue. (It's debatable in any case.)

Ref: Purolator website

Default BOSCH Premium #3500. Silicone ADBV great for arctic temps. Smaller Fram Tough Guard has one too.

28032A or something like that. Any Purolator from any Audi except cartridge works too. The only big Fram is the 3569, I never saw one. Only the Tough Guard and the Extra Guard have the Si adbv, plus a lot of other features.

Small filter in winter is no problem, imo.
