I had a solid CEL come on driving home from the gym yesterday...pulled the codes and here they are:
Engine:
18010 - Power Supply Terminal 30: Voltage too Low
- Lower Limit Exceeded - Intermittent
18062 - Please check DTC Memory of Instrument Cluster
- No Signal/Communication
17704 - Error in Mapped Cooling System (check Temp-Sensor and Thermostat)
- Implausible Signal - MIL ON
Auto Trans:
18258 - Powertrain Data Bus: Missing Message from ECU
- Mechanical Failure - Intermittent
ABS:
18258 - Powertrain Data Bus: Missing Message from ECU
- Intermittent
Instruments:
01039 - Coolant Temperature Sensor (G2)
- Open or Short to Plus
01314 - Engine Control Module
- No Communications - Intermittent
As I was driving home I experience the engine fan is on, heat blowing cold, as well as having very abnormally sluggish throttle response. I cleared the codes and went out for a test drive again tonight to get some petrol in the car.
As I'm driving for ~10 minutes, whenever I get off throttle and slow down to a stop, the revs just start dropping to below 600, even to 400 at times, but it bounces back to 800rpm.
I finally arrive at the petrol station, put my gas in, then I turn the key, engine starts, but then dies...
I wait and I try again and it sputters to life and I basically gingerly drove it home, all the while revs still dropping at stops.
Now, I STFA and I can only hope this is either the coolant temp. sensor or the thermostat. (on a side note, I had an erratic temp gauge for the past month or two)
My question, can it be a problem with my ECM as well as the others? I didn't find anything on revs dropping as a symptom...and the car shutting itself off unnerves me as well.
Any and all thoughts welcome. TIA.

her car would start up, but the revs would fall back down until it died. sometimes (1 out of 10 times the transmission would catch and fall but come back up without dying). when it didnt die, i could drive it but had to shift into neutral before coming to a complete stop or else the revs would drop with wheel speed until it died. i couldnt figure it out, and it took me two shops to get it fixed. the conclusion was a faulty idle control valve/sensor. it cost 186 for the part, 113 labor, now the car is back to normal. perhaps this is what is going on with you too? you have an automatic right? otherwise my guess is it's some sensor that inputs into the idle control system.
