Default What is this?

I put my summer wheels on yesterday and had to reassemble one wheel, because I had a bend taken out of it. There was a green ring in the bag of parts...

<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/105649/p1010367.jpg">

...that 2 of my other wheels had located here....

<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/105649/p1010366.jpg">

...meaning that all said and done, 3 wheels had the rings and one didn't. My gut tells me that it is a hubcentric ring, but I'm not sure. If anyone can help me out, tell me what it is, where to get it, do I really need it, etc, that would be great. And a summer teaser pic, girlfriends car in front, mine, then my dad's A6. TIA

Default Hubcentric Ring, you need it

Hey Matt,

I have the same hubcentric rings on my RE's. If you don't have one, it will cause that wheel to wobble on that side.

Default Measure the outside diameter of the rings and if it's 73mm, then these will work....

Default I was looking at the pictures thinking "man, that looks a lot like the hubcentric ring on my RE's"

then I saw the next one and thought "man, that looks a lot like the inside of my RE's." Then I saw your list pic and realized they WERE Oettinger RE's. As everyone is saying, hubcentric rings, you need 'em, go get 'em.
