Default not worth it at all

you won't see any real gains, mostly placebo if anything. Secondly, the heat shielding on these kits is simply pathetic. If you are going to do it, just buy a cheap cone filter, attach it the MAF, and make custom heat shielding (seal the intake off completely) otherwise all you are doing is sucking in hot air and slowing your car down. The intake sits right next to the turbo (stupid audi designers) which really cooks.

Default EVO doesn't have a cold air intake. It's just a regular intake.

True CAIs are worth it.

It has a heat shield and it pulls air behind the headlight, its colder than the stock box.

Default Don't bother.

He asked me to show him a dyno to back up my claims that an intake on a 1.8T will not add HP.

I found one, but he dismissed it saying dyno results are not accurate.

Like I said, don't bother.
