What about Cold Air Intake? Worth it?

Re: What about Cold Air Intake? Worth it?
Definetely worth it... but for $300, it's a rip. I fabricated a heat shroud using double-plated sheetmetal with fiberglass insulation inbewteen. It indeed kept my intake cone and piping super cool.
When I first installed the intake, the car felt strong up top, but as heat began to develop, the car began to lag. After fabricating the heat shield, it made a noticable difference.
This is just a prototype I built when i got bored the other day, I am planning on making some more prototypes, perhaps molding an airduct with fiberglass to feed it some more cold air.
