Scam. Some banks take up to 30 days to clear international checks, but make the funds available....
immediately to you. So if you cash a fake check and spend the money, then the bank finds out the check is fake after 30 days, you are liable for paying your bank back.

Yup It is a classic scam....
How it works is, he will send you a cheque, the cheque will clear ok, so you ship the car, then the cheque is bounced leaving you with no money, although this doesnt sound like the sort of thing someone from England would do, it's more common with asian and african countrys.

Almost definitely a SCAM.. Like others have said it could take a month for the check to clear. Usually in the scam the guy gives more than the check is worth and asks for the cash via western union. (untraceable) and after your banks bounce the check you're out that cash. Trust me, as a fraud detective I've read more than my fair share of these reports
