Default What do you guys think about this idea?

I'm getting door blades in today (hopefully, after waiting 2+ months for them) and plan to mount them unpainted for now to see how they look. Since I have the blacked out upper and lower grilles up front, black door blades on the side, what about blackening out the chrome strip on the top of the bumper?

I think that would give the "black out" effect all around the car, from grilles to blades to the chrome strip. It should contrast nicely. I like the look of the blacked out grille against the moro so I don't doubt the black blades would be any different but to complete the rear look too.

Thoughts? Anyone have pictures of the rear chrome strip blacked out?

Default I've seen it on B6s and I think it looks really good esp with all that you are talking

about doing to your car with the blackout effect.

*edit* - no idea how difficult it would be to paint that chrome strip yourself?

Yeah, it should come out pretty good. Just need to find a pic of the rear strip blacked out.

Default Don't know.. The Audi loops up front / chrome strip on bumper adds nice contrast

... but then again, I'm a big fan of the blacked out look!

Hard one.. =)

My opinion only

Default True but I've got the rings in the back that are staying chrome. So the front and rear

rings would be still chrome in color.

did you have to pull the entire bumper to get it out?
