Less than two weeks ago I picked up my '02 A4 1.8TQ from the dealership after having the fuel pump replaced (for the second time). Nevermind that it took FIVE WEEKS to be repaired. Well, I just got down to about a quarter tank of gas and the same high pitched whine is coming from the fuel pump area (right rear). This is what my car was doing before and it ended up dying on me on the freeway. Can anyone give me some insight as to what this might be? This may very well be the final straw. My A4 could be on the chopping block and I'll never buy Audi again.

take it back to the dealer and check up on lemon laws in your state. i think if its been in the shop that long and you've had the same problem 3 times that can't be repaired you may qualify for a buyback?!?!
im not completely sure

I'll definitely be consulting a Lemon Law Attorney at the first available opportunity. The only thing I can think of with the Ca. Lemon Law that might cause me problems is that my car is over 18 months old and has about 19,500 miles on it. It's still under warranty though. Anyone out there an expert on the Ca. Lemon Law?

What state do you live in and how did the lemon law work for you? What were your problems with the car and how did you go about getting rid of your car? Thanks in advance for any info.

I used Norman Taylor & associates out of Glendale CA they are the best. http://www.normantaylor.com/index.html the settlement took 22 days.
The Jaguar had its first power train failure (transfer case) at 1875 miles and I turned in the car with 19,000 miles. I tired to go through Jaguar first but they didn't want to honor my request for a replacement. I liked the Jag it does things better than my current A4 but I think I'm happier overall with my A4. The A4 has a lot of features I don't like/use like the sunroof. It cuts headroom and squeaks, or the auto dim rear view mirror. Is there a way to turn it off completely? What is up with homelink? We have three cars equipped with the **** and NEVER use it.
I just want a stick, premium sound, sport, FULL leather, auto climate preferably dual zone, DUAL power seats with memory, and xeons. That's it.
Sorry for the rant....contact Norman Taylor. I think you find them competitive, fast, and most importantly professional.
