What is the factory 17 x 7.5 offset, what's the correct offset for 18 x 8.5 wheels?

Default What is the factory 17 x 7.5 offset, what's the correct offset for 18 x 8.5 wheels?
I understand that offset varies with wheel width.

Factory offset is 45, on 18x8s I run 32mm which is max. 8.5 is tricky; 40 may work.
