what kind of tires come with 17" all-season option? and are they good for northeast winter?

My Sport Pak came with Michelin Pilot's and have been excellent. Car has 4500 miles.

Default pirelli P6s on the 04 sport package.
they do alright in the snow, but because of the short sidewall they don't do anywhere near as well as a set of P6s on 15s. I would recommend (IMHO) just getting a real winter setup and that way you can keep your sport rims clean too.

I'm on my first winter with 17" Conti CH95 A/S's. So far so good.

Audi ships a few different tire models, possibly due to pricing/availability.

Performance (aka Summer) tires:
Continental ContiSportContact 2
Dunlop SP Sport 9090
Michelin Pilot Primacy

All-Season tires:
Michelin Pilot MXM4
Pirelli P6 FourSeasons
